Title: Boarding schools: What difference do they make?
Evangelical Missions Quarterly,  26, 26-35.  1990
Summary:  Report of a survey of 533 adult MKs relative to effects of boarding schools. Table 1 gives percentages of each who agreed with 26 questions. In 6 respects boarders were higher, and in 5 nonboarders were. Same research as reported in Sharp (1990) How missionary children become world Christians: The role of the MK school and the local culture, Journal of Psychology and Theology, 18, 66-74.

Summary:  Christian commitment and Worldmindedness were measured in 533 adult MKs of missionaries to Brazil. MK schools were positively related to Christian commitment, but negatively with Worldmindedness. Cultural involvement was positively related with Worldmindedness, but negatively with Christian commitment. Same study is reported in Sharp (1990) Boarding schools: What difference do they make?
