My concern is that in going to peers from around the world, a TCK who is already struggling, will become even more confused. They may wind up with a "virtual culture" that is based on so many different cultures that it's next to impossible to sort out..But when this contact is maintained at the expense of integrating with the host culture, I become concerned.Before I could even respond, her next e-mail simply said that she realized she had shared too much, too fast and has never e-mailed me again. |
